Wore this to a garden party and got three compliments before I even sat down. The eyelet details and those little ruffled lace trim bits make it feel way more special than a plain white slip dress. Buttons down the front are functional too, which I didn't expect.
The bias cut makes this dress skim instead of cling, and the floral jacquard has a subtle sheen that photos don't quite capture. Wore it to a garden party and the functional buttons down the front actually stayed put all evening. The gathered sleeves are a nice touch too, though I did have to steam
The bias cut drapes really nicely and the lace trim on the ruffled sleeves feels delicate without looking cheap. Only gripe is the white jacquard is a bit sheer in bright sun, so I have to wear a slip underneath. Still keeping it for dinners all summer.
