Wore this to a dinner party and got asked about it twice. The polka dot fabric has a nice weight to it, not flimsy at all, and the jacquard cut-away detailing makes it feel way more expensive than it was.
The asymmetrical cut is what sold me — it hits at a flattering angle instead of straight across. Only gripe is the jacquard cut-away detailing snags a bit if you're not careful putting it on.
The polka dot embroidery is really pretty in person and the asymmetrical hem makes it feel a bit different from my other black dresses. That said, the fabric has zero stretch, so it dug into my ribs when I sat down at dinner. Fine for a few hours, not an all-night dress.
