The ruched empire bodice actually sits at the right spot and doesn't bunch up, which I was worried about with a maxi. Puff sleeves are subtle enough for work and the velvet bow at the back is such a pretty touch. Wore it to dinner and got stopped twice about where it's from.
Wore this to a fall wedding and the velvet bow at the waist got three compliments before dinner. The square neckline stays put without fussing, and the ruched bodice actually flatters instead of clinging.
