The satin is that heavy, cool-to-the-touch kind that photographs beautifully, and the thigh-high slit never felt risky while I was dancing. Chiffon ruffles at the shoulders are a small detail but they soften the whole silhouette. Genuinely the most comfortable I've been in a formal dress all year.
